[ST LOUIS] As Alpine Shop celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2023, the outdoor retailer continued its string of local awards with its second straight STL Headliner Award for Best Outdoor/Sporting Goods Store. The award, given out by the St. Louis Post Dispatch and its on-line counterpart, STLToday.com, was announced at an event at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton on Wednesday, August 30 and made public on Sunday, September 24.

This is the ninth award for the St. Louis-based Alpine Shop during the 2023 calendar year, following five awards from Terrain Magazine in their January-February issue, and three awards in St. Louis Magazine's A-List issue earlier this summer. Overall, this is the 33rd "Best of" Award for the outdoor retailer since 2011 and 17th honor for either Best Outdoor Store or Best Sporting Goods Store since 2018.
