Any store—either brick-and-mortar or on-line—can sell backpacks. Finding a store that can fit and adjust your pack properly to your specific body dimensions is a different story all together.
Alpine Shop will take the time to measure your torso and your hips, making sure your pack is the right size and adjusted correctly for your body shape. Then, we'll find the right fit for your hip belt. Some models will have Osprey's Fit-on-the-Fly adjustability, others will have interchangeable hipbelts that we can switch out for you.
We'll then load the pack with a light weight and have you carry it around the store to find any problem spots before you leave.
Backpacking trips are amazing. They're also a heck of a lot more fun when you have a pack that fits correctly!
