Whether I'm hiking, camping, paddling, traveling, or just going to the park on a nice day, this is absolutely in my pack. This size is great because it fits nicely in my back pocket or in an easy-access pouch in a pack. The fact that it is waterproof is amazing, but the durability of the pages is my favorite part. I never worry about a page accidentally ripping or tearing out. Other features like ruled edges, measurement conversion charts, and dotted graph lines make it that much more handy if I want to make specific notes, calculations, drawings, etc. Definitely a great gift for anyone who enjoys the outdoors!
