The Tarantula shoe is a great beginner shoe to use in the gym or outdoors. Its a bit forgiving in the toe box for a more comfortable fit. The velcro gives the shoes an easy on and off feel. Its an all around great climber for those who are ready to jump right in.

Got these shoes for my son, 12, who has a very wide foot with narrow heels, high arches and a high instep. These shoes fit him perfectly. They are totally adjustable and not too rigid. Great for a beginners or experts AND they look really cool.

This climbing shoe by La Sportiva is a great fit for people with a wider foot. I wear a size 43 normally and was able to squeeze into a 41, they do stretch a little bit. As a beginner climber I am able to quickly switch in and out of these due to the easy Velcro straps. They have held up well and allow me to feel confident when trying out a new problem. As my first pair of climbing shoes this was a great choice, however if one is looking to be able to adjust the fit for different situations a laced shoe might work a little better in the end.

These climbing shoes are great for beginners. The out sole is not too aggressive and are a bit forgiving in width. A great indoor shoe with velcro straps that go in opposite directions help out with fit and easy on and off.
