It is so nice to have somewhere to rest after hiking or kayaking long distances, and I really appreciate the stools small size and light weight. Unfortunately, this stool seriously stumbles when it comes to versatility in the field and durability. If the ground is rocky, uneven, or too wet, you will have a hard time finding a comfortable spot to rest. It is true that I was not kind to my stool, but the rubber stoppers popped off after only about 1 season of use. In all, I think this is a solid stool, but the elastic bands and rubber stoppers are not suited for long term use.

Great for scouts! It weighs practically nothing so thats its best plus, comes in a little sling that you can carabiner off your pack. Its small and minimal. Meaning theres not a whole lot to sit on there, but it covers the basics and gives you something to sit up on around a camp fire. Ive personally sat on these many times over the years and theyre a little touch and go on the stability. If you dont land on it well enough, you might be rolling off the side of it, but its short and maybe Im just clumsy. I think this is a good little stool that wont break the bank.
