  • A sweet piece to use on the trails or stow in your bag for those sudden showers. With their H2No Performance Standard, garments undergo strenuous testing to make sure quality is top notch. Its a 2.5 layer nylon jacket that has a waterproof/breathable membrane, an interior with raised pattern (to channel moisture away from the skin), and is topped off with a durable water repellent finish to let the membrane function efficiently. When the rain lets up a little you can roll down the hood and pack it into the collar, or when it stops completely this little gem stows itself into one of the two zippered front pockets. Quality and convenience make this a go-to piece.

This is my personal favorite rain jacket out of all of them that Alpine sells. Sure, you can get better, theres Goretex and even more breathable fabrics, but put all together, I like the fit, feel, and price of this jacket. This one isn't as swishy, crunchy material as some others. A rain jacket is supposed to not be super fitted, but not over sized either or it won't do it's job correctly. I'm between a small and a medium, but of course I'd choose the medium because it has great cinch cords. Both at each hip, and it has a fantastic cord system in the hood, which allows you to form the hood to your head so you can move without getting a face full of fabric, that's a big deal when on the trail. It has a couple other good features, but in all, its a well designed jacket for the price!
