I have two Nano Puffs, and they are great when you need a little extra to stay warm. They are light and packable, making them perfect for travel. Wind resistance makes them a good stand alone jacket on mild days, or layer up in wet or cold conditions. If you are looking for a synthetic mid-layer, the Nano Puff is a great choice. I find the sizing to be true to size, Im a pretty standard small and a small fits perfectly. This jacket doesnt really stretch though, so depending on your intended use, you might want to size up`;` or check out the Nano Air for a stretchy option.

The perfect light weight fall and spring jacket. Being an insulation piece at its core, it's best to be placed under a shell such as a rain jacket or ski shell but as a stand alone piece it is great too. It is already wind proof so that battles your first level of cold, the wind. It is very light weight though, so it's not a winter weight, I wouldn't wear it alone under 45 degrees. But it is perfect for cold spring and fall days. It packs down small too so its great for travel, camping, backpacking. Fit wise, I say it's pretty true. Patagonia can be a tiny bit on the small side, so if you like a roomier fit, I'd size up. I can fit a small in some brands, but I'm a medium in Patagonia.

I got this jacket for hiking/backpacking and I AM OBSESSED. It is so light and packable yet it can keep me very warm almost too warm. I would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone who wants all the warmth of a down puffer without the bulk.
