  • RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chips are used in all US passports created after 2006 and in over 35 million credit cards. RFID chips are also used in hotel keys; electronic gate or door keycards; and government, military and port of entry ID cards. The technology was designed to let us bypass the standard requirements of scanning or checking in. However, electronic identity thieves have undermined the security of RFID products by devising scanners that read your personal information without you even realizing it. Thankfully, RFID signal-blocking items such as this one have allowed individuals to protect themselves from this kind of pickpocketing.

On a recent trip abroad I came home with a fraudulent charge but hadnt lost sight of my card the entire time. After doing some research I decided to give the Lewis N Clark Credit Card Sleeve a shot before heading overseas again. Since using it, I havent had any false charges and its perfect for keeping my cards organized. One sleeve can hold about 2 cards plus some folded cash. Using on a daily bases, the sleeves lasted about 5 months. I love the peace of mind knowing no matter what purse or wallet Im using the LnC sleeve is protecting the data on my cards. They even make a larger version perfect for holding a passport, which I plan to take on my next trip!
