In Honor of Those Who Gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for Our Country.

All of us in the Alpine Shop and The Pathfinder family would like to stop and remember the true reason for Memorial Day. We remember those who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy and the security of our nation.

While the true origins of this holiday are lost to history, we know it begins in general with the Civil War when our nation lost roughly 2% of our population as father, sons and brothers died to preserve our country. You can find out more about the origins here.

On Monday, the National Moment of Remembrance is celebrated by law at 3 pm, when all Americans are asked to pause their off-day festivities for one minute to reflect on those service men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice. 

And we thank all the men and women - both past and present - who put their lives on the line for this country that we are proud to call home.
