This was my first portable stove. I acquired it for backpacking purposes. My camping experience usually revolved around eating freeze-dried meals. With that in mind the jetboil was pefect device as it boils water very quickly. The stove works well in fair weather and altitudes. If windy, you just need to brace it against the wind. Looking back I wish I had the flash jetboil because it has the ignite function built-in. All-in all it packs well, and works great. Would recommend Flash Jetboil!
