This class describes and explains the fundamental techniques used in Alpine Mountaineering, and hands out plenty of expert tips along the way. If you are planning to undertake a guided trip, are interested in expanding your cold weather expedition knowledge, or want to investigate whether or not mountaineering is a possible pursuit for you, risk the two hours and come enjoy this free class. An experienced mountaineer will explain equipment selection, cold weather camping techniques, basic mountaineering terms, ice axe/crampon usage, rope travel basics, along with many other concepts necessary to the aspiring mountaineer.
