This
class presents an excellent opportunity to learn multi-day
backpacking and expeditionary techniques in a hands-on environment.
Join experienced Alpine Shop Instructors for an overnight
backpacking trip that will covera gamut of methods for ensuring
safe and well-organized trips from the quickest one-nighter
to long-range treks. Topics will include trip planning, fuel
and food calculations, navigation, expedition leadership
skills, camp selection, medical evaluations, water and sustenance
resupply, equipment selection, Leave No Trace practices,
backcountry hygiene and inclement weather techniques, among
others.
