With Basic and Intermediate courses behind you, you've learnt the basics. Now we'll teach you hot to transfer your still-water techniques to a river environment. You'll learn the way rivers move and specific methods of efficiently and easily directing your kayak with and against the current. All the while, we'll continue to hone the skills you've already learned this summer.
Alpine Shop Instructors will decide on the river of their choice for this class depending upon water levels throughout the area.
• Boats
and equipment provided. Students provide their own snacks,
drinking water, hat, sunscreen and eyeglass retainers.
• Successful completion of Basic and Intermediate Kayaking courses with Alpine Shop is a prerequisite.
