For
twenty nine years, The Banff Mountain Film Festival has been
celebrating the spirit of adventure and the mountain environment.
Each November, the world’s best films featuring mountain
themes draw an international audience to the town of Banff,
Canada. The best of these flims join the Banff Mountain Film
Festival World Tour which makes its stop in St.
Louis this year at the St. Louis Science Center on Monday,
April 4 and Tuesday, April 5.
Ten years ago, the Alpine Shop began bringing The Banff Mountain
Film Festival World Tour to St. Louis and each year the tour
keeps getting better and better. For 2005, we've selected 15
films, including five award winning features from the Festival.
You'll experience films from every major category including:
adventure travel, animation, climbing, cycling, humor, skiing
and paddling all with the mountain lifestyle featured throughout.
Tickets
are on sale right now at
all Alpine Shop locations, or you can pick them up at the St.
Louis Science Center the night of the show (if we haven't sold
out already!).
